AZLO Productions

“Mr. Guarin founded Azlo Productions to increase musical and cultural exchange between Spain, Latin America, and the USA and to unify the Americas through art. We have nothing but good things to say about social action through music.””

Since its foundation in the year 2000, Azlo has been sponsoring and producing independent artists around the world and presenting them in some of the most renowned concert halls including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in NYC; The Strathmore and Cathedral of Saint Matthew the Apostle in Washington DC; The Hobby Center in Houston, Texas as well as Cite Universitaire in Paris, Palacio Foz and Museum Nogueira da Silva in Portugal; Salle Gandhi in Geneva, among other prestigious halls in France, Germany, Brazil, and Colombia.

Amazonas 2016 will be presenting two one of a kind concerts on November 22nd and November 28th  at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall.

During this time of uncertainty, we hope this delightful music, in the spirit of cultural exchange, will be uplifting and offer hope!

"This will be our reply to violence: to make music more intensely, more beautifully , more devotedly than ever before." - Leonard Bernstein

The first concert will happen on November 22nd, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Mariachi Real de Mexico by fusing traditional Mexican sounds with classical virtuosos. The second takes place on November 28th at 8PM and benefits  Redes USA—a program promoting social change by teaching vocal and instrumental music to Latino youth in Baja California, Mexico City and New York.
Come and enjoy an evening of classical Music with a Mexican Twist!

Our concert on November 22nd, elevates Mariachi Music to new heights in the classical world with a kind of fusion never seen before at Carnegie Hall. Acclaimed International Baritone Jose Adan Perez, who  performs leading opera roles around the world under the guidance of Placido Domingo, award-winning pianist Dr. Ana Maria Orduz, classical guitarist and artistic director Nilko Andreas Guarin, celebrated, violinists Ernesto and Alberto Villa-lobos, better known as The Villalobos Brothers, and director of the Mariachis, Ramon Ponce, as well as the Azlo Chamber ensemble  will gather to inspire on this very special night.  We will also feature a premiere of a piece by Ricardo Calderoni, written especially for the occasion.

Our second concert will happen on November 28th at 8PM featuring Redes USA— a program for social change that has taught vocal and instrumental music to Latino youth in Baja California, Mexico City and New York  for over 6 years, improving the lives of young musicians and their families. This concert gives these talented children with limited resources, hailing  mostly from Tijuana, the opportunity to perform at one of the most prestigious venues in the world.  The children will be  joined by  internationally renowned pianists Abdiel Vasquez and Guillermo Vaisman, soprano Monica Abrego, guitarist Nilko Andreas and the Saxon Quartet from Mexico City.  The concert you will witness ranges from traditional Mexican music to Beethoven!

Please join us in helping to promote this program.  We are on a continued mission  to create cultural bridges between the US and Mexico through  the power of music  and need your support.

“Amazonas” is the name of a series of concerts that are presented around the world featuring the Azlo Orchestra, guests and soloists. The main purpose of these concerts is to focus attention on the increasing level of environmental damage that we have been causing to our planet We believe that this situation demands a strong response from the present generation and in particular from the artistic community. Less known is that composers from many periods in the past have taken their inspiration from Nature and the ancestral power of the Amazon forest, as well as providing an opportunity to young composers to write new works for the series.
